Support Contracts

Support Contracts
Our support contracts cover all issues that may arise in your school.

When a member of our staff arrives at your school he becomes YOUR technician for that day.
They will deal with any issue concerning your ICT system. All our technicians have a minimum of 1 year’s supervised experience within a school before they are released to work on a contract. Most of them have more than 5 years experience.

Contracts are based on block day bookings. We require a minimum of 10 days, booked and paid for in advance. These days then have no time limit, (ie no expiry date) on them. We do not make you use up your days in a certain time period unlike most support contracts, which have end dates. Once the contract is in place you need only call us to book in a technician. We always try to assign a single technician to your school. Within a short time all our customers are on first name terms with their technician and treat them as a member of their own staff. Once you are close to using up your days just call to purchase more.

Apart from any warranty issues we will look after all your equipment (labour only) regardless of supplier from the first day of the contract.

As all our staff work in schools we are able to anticipate many of the possible issues that can create ‘down time’, from new viruses to possible vulnerabilities in your security. If we hear of such a problem arising in one of our schools we will contact all our customers making them aware of any possible threats.

Day to day server administration can also be carried out within a technician contract such as resetting passwords, setting up new users etc.

Our prices are very competitive. Additionally, if you make substantial equipment purchases from us your contract costs will be subsidised by these sales thus cutting the price significantly.

Hear from a Technician.

I have worked for EduTech for 9 years. During that time I have learnt IT from scratch within a school setting. Our MD has always said that new staff, no matter how ‘expert’, first have to unlearn ‘normal’ IT and then learn how schools work as they are a completely different environment with their own particular issues. At first I thought IT was just IT, but quickly realised that he was right. I now look after many schools as their technician and enjoy the positive relationships with their staff and the satisfaction I get from constantly relearning how to provide the best service for them.
